NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT: HO Scale GP35's and HO Scale Big Boys!
Broadway Limited is proud to announce a new run of two favorite locomotives in HO scale! First, let's talk about the GP35.
The EMD GP35 is a 4-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by EMD and subsequently General Motors Diesel in the mid 1960's. Over 1300 of these locomotives were produced, and they were operated by virtually every major railroad in the United States. Additionally 26 units were built for Canadian railroads and another 57 units were built for Mexican railroads. These freight locomotives were powered by EMD 567D3A 16-cylinder engines that generated 2500 horsepower.
In our third production run, we are modeling 8 railroads with 9 prototypically accurate road numbers and paint schemes.
List of individually controllable lights in our EMD GP35 models:
- Headlight
- Rear Light
- Numberboard Lights (Front & Rear)

Below are the artwork of the different paint schemes we are offering. These are just initial artwork, details are still subject to change.
The order deadline for the GP35's is December 19th with an expected delivery of June 2025. You can find more information about the Paragon4 locomotives here. You can find more information about the Stealth locomotives here.
Next up is a new run of Union Pacific Big Boys in HO scale. Big Boys were often called the largest steam locomotive ever made, and certainly a contender for the Worlds Most Famous Locomotive, the Big Boy was forged under some of the most strenuous demands ever placed on a locomotive. The UP Railroad needed a locomotive that could be used to pull a 3,600-ton train over Sherman Hill and the 1.14% grade from Ogden to Wasatch, Utah without the need for helpers.
In this production run of Big Boys, we are offering 8 prototypical versions of the locomotive with 4 fantasy schemes. This run has two unique versions of Big Boys we have not offered. The first is Big Boy 4014 in it's current modern day appearance with PTC details. See the callout image below pointing out the details of the model.
The second version is Big Boy #4019 with experimental smoke deflectors. During the winter of 1944/1945, the railroad experimented the smoke deflectors on the Big Boy to determine if it improved crew visibility with smoke. Ultimately the railroad decided it was not necessary. We have accurately modeled this version of 4019 with the assistance of the Union Pacific Historical Society. Below are 3D renders of the model. With these being early renders, details are still subject to change.
The order deadline for the this production run of Big Boys is March 6th, 2025 with an expected delivery of Fall 2025. You can find out more about the Paragon4 version of these Big Boys here. You can find out more about the Stealth Big Boys here.

I know you guys said that there will be PTC details on 4014, but I’m just asking if it also has the PTC antennas on the roof of the cab.

Is the new run of 4014 in its modern appearance w/ PTC and such going to include 4014’s duel-beam headlight?
